More Than Just an Attorney
Attorney Deborah Hill has represented clients in a multitude of roles in a bankruptcy and insolvency capacity such as debtors and asset purchasers in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. Although her practice primarily consisted of creditor representation in Default Litigation, she has experience representing other parties in Family Law and Civil Litigation.
Deborah Hill began her legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Susan M. Marzetta, General Master of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City focusing on mortgage and tax foreclosure,
Deborah Hill received a clerkship from the U. S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryland James F. Schneider, (now retired) for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryland. Following her clerkship, she joined a multi-state default law firm in Baltimore, Maryland, where she practiced bankruptcy, property law and non-bankruptcy collections, while managing a team of 15 attorneys, 25 paralegals and support staff.
Deborah Hill then moved to New Jersey where she accepted a position with PHH Mortgage, managing its Loss Mitigation Department, concentrating on Mortgage Default Liquidation. Upon return to Maryland, Deborah steered her practice towards the area of Civil Litigation and Bankruptcy. Thereafter, Deborah opened the Hill Law Office.
Deborah Hill earned a B.A. cum laude from University of Baltimore, a Master's Degree from Johns Hopkins University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law. She is a member of the Baltimore County Bar Association and is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Maryland.
